Chhattisgarh health minister appeals Centre to start process of Covid-19 booster shot

Chhattisgarh health minister TS Singhdeo has requested the Union Health Minister Mansukh L Mandaviya to start the process of administering booster doses of Covid-19 vaccine to health workers, frontline workers, immuno-compromised citizens and people above 60 years of age.

RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh health minister TS Singhdeo has requested the Union Health Minister Mansukh L Mandaviya to start the process of administering booster doses of Covid-19 vaccine to health workers, frontline workers, immuno-compromised citizens and people above 60 years of age.

Although the level of safety remains promising in very few cases, hence the need for a booster dose is felt.
He has written that the effect of third and fourth wave is being seen in many countries of the world. Many countries are applying booster doses to their citizens.
Hence, keeping in view the risk of corona infection, Singh deo highlighted the need for booster doses of corona vaccine for health workers, frontline workers, immuno-compromised and people above 60 years of age. The minister has been urged to take an early decision in this regard and issue necessary instructions for booster dose vaccination.
